Ruling announced concerning the altercation which occurred on July 15.
After a thorough review of the information and video regarding an on-field altercation, it has been determined that several players on both the Sydney Mines and District Little League (Nova Scotia/Atlantic) and Coquitlam Little League (British Columbia) will be suspended for one game for violation of the Altercation Rule as outlined in the Little League Regulations, Playing Rules, and Operating Policies.
All players, coaches, umpires, and participants must always uphold the highest level of sportsmanship and behavior. We have absolutely no tolerance for abuse anywhere in the Little League program. The actions displayed by these players are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The Tournament Committee in its sole discretion reserves the right to impose additional penalties up to and including suspension of or revocation of tournament privileges for the league, team, manager, coaches, and/or players involved, and/or forfeiture of a game if additional violations from any of the remaining leagues are brought to its attention.
